Press Release: RI NOW ELECTS A NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Rhode Island National Organization of Women (RI NOW) held its Annual Meeting and elected a new Board of Directors for the 2023-2025 term.

The new board is comprised of:

Lesley Bunell, President

Jan Shapin, Vice President

Jessica Mayernik, Treasurer

Emily Martineau, Secretary

Bridget Eileen Madden, Communications Director

Giona Picheco, Legislative Chair

Tracy Ramos, Membership Chair

Darlene Allen, Volunteer Coordinator

President Lesley Bunell says, "Our priorities are winning economic equality, championing abortion rights, reproductive freedom and other women’s health issues; opposing racism; fighting bigotry against the LGBTQIA community; and ending violence against women.

"Since its beginning in 2004, RI NOW has been an important voice in Rhode Island, and I am excited to hit the ground running to grow RI NOW and increase its influence in the state."
